Host have a wealth of experience in the property rental market and have looked after student accommodation in Southend since 2006, firstly and directly in conjuction with the University of Essex (Southend) supplying all their accredited managed accommodation prior to building their own in 2011. We supply the largest amount of Student accommodation outside the University currently more than 120 places in Southend Area, all our properties meet the current regulatory legislation.

Our aim is to provide a professional service, whilst maintaining a friendly and balanced approach and providing suitable and affordable accommodation for students.

Host work directly with Southend Borough Council who regularly inspect our properties setting the standards for student accomodation. Recently SEAL ( South East Alliance of Landlords) was formed in conjuction with Southend Police and Southend Council to improve rental accommodation standards and reduce anti social behaviour and generally helping to make Southend on sea a nicer place to live and study in.

Host because of their experience we were asked to sit on the board of SEAL. We obviously to up their offer as we felt it was important to drive up standards in in the rental market including the Student Rental Market and have asked for an accredited scheme with Southend University where students no longer wish to be in the Student pods..

Host Student Limited is accredited by The National Approved Lettings Scheme and is a member of The Disputes Service (TDS) which is a government backed organisation setup to oversee tenants security deposits. We are required to hold all deposits in a separate bank account which is covered by and insurance and is ring fenced and protected against creditors in the event that the business was dissolved.

We are also part of The property Ombudsman for Estate & Letting Agents.
